Testing is a bit tricky because there are two connector pins and they serve different purposes however the best way to test it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. 2. Injectors
Yesterday accelerating full speed from highway paytoll i had an abrupt drop in power as if the engine was running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing at all. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, 3 were soaked with gazoline and the 4th one was dry. When I crank the engine with no sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline pop out, but the 4th stay closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get zero Ohm. I think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car is able to start when the G28 is not plugged in and is running fine when it is plugged in but it still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when unplugged, still shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not sure what to do, i believe that i've completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm afraid i may have missed something. Let me know If you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor.
